Therapy is a tool to help you create the life you want to live. You’re in charge in therapy, and we’re happy to work with you to create the type of experience that is most helpful for you.

Do you accept insurance?
I will soon be contracted with all major insurances. I also accept self-pay and a sliding scale. Please see insurance/fees for details and most recent updates.

What is CBT and DBT?
CBT looks at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to examine and help you break patterns that are keeping you suffering.
DBT expands upon CBT by adding mindfulness practice, interpersonal effectiveness skills, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation skills.

What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)?
ACT is a psychological intervention that helps people improve their psychological flexibility (the ability to act in line with your values and goals even when experiencing discomfort or unwanted emotions and events). Research shows psychological flexibility is crucial for mental health.

I think I might have OCD?
OCD is commonly misunderstood and misdiagnosed because of the many ways the media has portrayed and stereotyped it. Research shows it takes an adult with OCD an average of 14-17 years to get the correct diagnosis and treatment (NOCD). If you are curious about whether you have OCD, please reach out for an assessment.

What is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)?
ERP is evidence-based treatment for OCD that has the client break the OCD cycle through gradual exposure to triggers while avoiding compulsions. If it sounds scary, don’t worry, you’ll work with your therapist to really understand what you’re doing and why. You’ll never be asked to do an exposure you’re not ready for. You’re the driver.
