Meet Claire

Live Up Therapy was founded with the belief that you were made for more than just tolerating your life. You deserve to wake up each morning feeling fulfilled, centered, and like you have a purpose - because you do! Too much of therapy is clinical, over pathologized, and makes you leave feeling more off than before.

At Live Up, Claire is passionate about making people feel seen, understood, normalized, and more than just a number. Diagnoses are just words to describe a current situation a human being is going through! They’re important but they don’t define you.

“I’ve spent 5+ years in acute mental health settings seeing patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, issues, and challenges, so nothing is off the table when you come to see me. I’m unspookable. I’ve worked with adolescents (12+) and adults on issues related to depression, suicidal ideation and self-harm, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem and identity formation, LGBTQ+ issues, ADHD, OCD (my favorite!), eating disorders, and religion and spirituality. I’m not your smile and nod therapist. Change isn’t just about listening, it’s about education. Which is why I’m passionate about actually giving you the tools and information you need to feel better.” - Claire

When I’m not working, I like to try (and fail) to keep up with my husband on runs, make homemade pizza, hang out with my cat Doug, and build community with the many teens I have the pleasure of mentoring through the nonprofit Crosstown Young Life.
